National Fitness Day aims to get more people more active more often. Participating leisure centres, gyms, parks, workplaces and clubs will be opening their doors to welcome you for free activities!
Prizes and giveaways on the day by getting involved at participating centres, workplaces and schools. Schools: Take On The Teachers Challenge is taking place in schools nationwide. This involves pupils taking on their teachers in an activity of their choice on National Fitness Day. Make sure to upload your pictures and tag our social media along with the hashtag #TakeOnTheTeachers to be in with the chance of winning €150 Sports Equipment Vouchers and Fitbits for your school! Docklands Fitfest takes place at Grand Canal Square on National Fitness Day. This year on National Fitness Day, Docklands Fitfest will happen within Dublin Sportsfest organised by Dublin City Council and Dublin City Sport & Wellbeing Partnership, which aims to showcase the wealth of sports clubs, facilities and recreational facilities available in Dublin City. It also coincides with European Week of Sport (23rd to 30th September) which is a Europe-wide promotion to promote sport and physical activity.
